The hapless hero of the sci-fi musical spoof Little Shop of Horrors discovers he must serve up a hearty helping of blood to keep his plant alive.

Director Joey Sayer who has staged Little Shop for Front Row Players is feeding his audiences a banquet of prime grade ham.

The signature show at Canmore’s O Canada, Eh dinner theatre is a feast of musical nonsense.

It’s about as close to old-fashioned vaudeville as we’re going to get these days.

That means the jokes are corny, the slapstick absurd and the fun decidedly wack.

Even in his most inconsequential moments he dwarfs most playwrights.

Such is the case with This is a Play, a brilliantly naughty backstage farce that’s enjoying a brilliantly naughty production at Lunchbox.
